After formal training at Sydney Design School, Rachel established Rachel Tidswell Interiors with a clear ambition to create interiors rich in character and personality. Her expertise builds on a lifelong love and experience in interiors complemented by a background in marketing, communications and events, further shaping her instinct for visual storytelling and her ability to translate lifestyle, vision and personal narrative into thoughtfully realised spaces.
A mother of three, Rachel brings the same intention she applies to her work to the way she lives, guided by family, creativity and an instinctive belief that the spaces around us shape how we feel.

Today, the studio operates as a full-service interior design practice, delivering projects across Australia and internationally. From concept through to completion, we guide the entire design journey shaping renovations and new spaces with a distinct sense of identity, mood and experience.
We collaborate closely with clients and project teams across a range of locations, bringing a consistent approach grounded in creative vision, spatial awareness and a meticulous attention to detail.

Rachel Tidswell Interiors guides each project from a genuine curiosity about the client—their story and the way they want to live—through to the final moments of installation and styling. Working across residential and boutique commercial spaces, the studio brings together spatial planning, curated colour palettes, materials and finishes, and a cohesive design direction that gives every space clarity and refinement.
From bespoke joinery and cabinetry through to the curation of furniture, lighting, textiles, soft furnishings and decorative objects, Rachel draws on her relationships with the finest makers, artisans and specialist suppliers to realise interiors where her creative vision and the world of the client come together.
DEFINING THE VISION
Each project begins with a detailed consultation to understand the home, the story, the architecture and how the space will be lived in. These conversations shape a clear creative direction and project brief that guides every stage of the design.
DEVELOPING THE INTERIOR LANGUAGE
Spatial planning, material selections and design concepts are carefully developed to form a cohesive interior vision. This stage may include custom joinery and cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom detailing, curated colour and finish palettes, and the layering of textures that give each space its character.
REALISING THE
SPACE
Working closely with architects, builders and specialist trades, the studio coordinates the procurement and installation of furnishings, lighting and decorative objects. Installation and styling bring every layer together, ensuring each detail feels resolved and entirely its own.
